ACADEMY PROGRAM

Intermediate (Licensed Stylists/Registered Apprentices/Hairstyling Diploma Holders)

OVERVIEW

The Aveda Academy Salon is an intermediate/ advanced level program for Hairstylists with a hairstyling diploma, license or registered apprenticeship. Build confidence through hands-on experience working in a high-energy salon under the supervision of our trained Educators and members of our Aveda Creative Team. Weekly Education demos teach you creative approaches to cut & colour, understanding head shape, improving technique, time management and salon readiness.

IS THE ACADEMY RIGHT FOR ME?

  • A hairstyling diploma program really only focuses on the basic fundamentals; are you ready for the next level?
  • Are you worried that working in your salon isn't going to give you enough time to focus on practicing your skills and developing new ones?
  • Have you ever felt like your education was not on the same level as you? Were you struggling to keep up or bored because you've moved beyond the rest of the class?

The Academy focuses on YOU and your development as a professional. Book a career planning session with our Admissions Team to find out if the Academy is the right program for you.

ACADEMY CURRICULUM

Progress through Levels 1-3 through consistent coaching, morning meetings, weekly education and one-on-one reviews.

LEVEL 1 - SPECIALIZE

Take your fundamental skills and discover how to apply them in new and innovative ways. Whether you are refining your haircut or hair colour skills, you will be working on real guests with the guidance of your educator to help you hone your technique and build your confidence.

LEVEL 2 - EXPLORE

Spend time on the skills that you didn't get to focus on in your diploma program like upstyling, razor cutting, cutting textured hair, advanced reds and blondes, colour correction, ombre/balayage, and colour melting. With our world-class educators there to support and guide you, there's no limit to how much you can learn.

LEVEL 3 - REFINE

Lessons for the rest of the program are based on your progression as an individual, and will be customized by your educator. When you graduate, you'll stand out as a rising star in the industry and exponentially accelerate your earning potential.
